You know this trope: Hero is swashbuckling or fearsome warrior, often from barbarian/ foreign/ invader lands. Heroine is or will eventually become a guide or healer or seer. They both distrust each other (and each other's customs) at first, but eventually the heroine knows just the right healing methods/ war strategies/ prophecies to help the hero's people. (And let's hope it never goes the Macbeth way!) Of course, gender can be swapped for the roles.
